Belle's Bread: Authentic Asian Bakery in Columbus, OH

An absolutely amazing and unique bakery that I would not have expected to find in Ohio! Everything was delicious and I recommend being ready right when they open as it seems popular and stuff goes quick (but I will say they seemed to keep every item well stocked). Hard to pick a favorite, but the MELON BREAD is a must in any variation. It is so fluffy but with the crust of a sugar cookie and dough that takes just like cookie dough. So yum and just melts in your mouth. Update: I have since revisited with no regrets, just a chance to try even more! Brought some friends as well and they are in LOVE as well.

The fruit tart is my favorite treat from here! The sweetness is not overpowering and compliments the fruits well. My partner who lives in Florida loves the cream puffs and always asks to make a stop at Belle’s whenever he visits.

So MANY choices! I can see why this place is so popular! I feel that it's a bit expensive, but not any worse than Panera or Paris Baguette. Plus, here, you're supporting a local business. It was very busy. They 2 items that I bought were very good. It was a couple weeks ago, so I don't remember the names of the items. I want to return another time to try different items since there were so many options. It's very busy, so be prepared to stand in line. The employees were friendly & did a great job getting the checkout line moving.

This place is so amazing and delicious! A unique and exquisite trip into desserts, breads, and pastries that is rare and exceptional! Affordable, and delectable! The staff is plenty, friendly, and knowledgeable! A true must for all culture lovers and foodies!

​This is a mandatory stop every time we pass through Columbus. Having lived in Japan, I can vouch that this is the real deal—the pastries and patisseries are exactly as I remember them. It’s easily one of the most authentic Japanese bakeries in the region. ​The bakery is located in the Japan Marketplace (Kenny Centre Mall), which feels like a tiny portal to Japan. It's a great strip mall with a shared parking lot that includes an authentic grocery store (Tensuke Market) and several great restaurants like Akai Hana and Tensuke Ramen. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a meal and stock up on Japanese pantry staples in one trip. ​The bakery itself is almost always busy, but it’s a very well-oiled machine. The employees work in a fast, assembly-line style that keeps the line moving much quicker than you’d expect. While it's largely a grab-and-go operation, there are a few tables available if you want to sit down and enjoy your food immediately. Favorites: ​Mango Mousse Cake: This is our absolute favorite—light, airy, and the mango flavor is spot-on. ​Cheese Dome: It has that characteristic light and fluffy texture without being overly sweet. ​Berry Panna Cotta: Another go-to for us; the balance of the cream and the tart berries is perfect.

My daughter ordered a couple of sheet cakes from here for her wedding. The cakes were available on time, they were delicious, and they were beautiful. I've also stopped here for snacks. Everything I've tried is good. I particularly love the earl gray pudding and the frank rolls. There is often a line and the energy the customers bring reminds me of a daycare; definitely a lot of people using their outdoor voices.

I ordered a chocolate cake, but unfortunately received a coffee cake instead. The box was already closed and placed in a bag at checkout, so I didn’t have a chance to verify the order until I got home.

Staff was friendly. For how busy it was the line was fast. The prices were fair an the items I got were delicious. Definitely want to come back to try the staffs recommendations. Definitely need more seating in the building!
